Maria
Villanueva began her tenure at Prodigy at the
age of 18, as an afternoon caregiver in the
Preschool classes. Her instant success as a
caregiver was due in part to her power of
bonding with the children, and also to her
ability to understand the parents need of piece
of mind. Maria is always ready to address any
parents' concerns, and to give each of them
those tidbits of information regarding their
children, which do provide then with piece of
mind. She quickly became a favorite of many
parents and of all the children. Her success in
this endeavor spurred Maria to pursue a full
time career in early childhood. She enrolled in
college with an Early Childhood Education major,
and she requested a full time position. Maria's
enthusiasm, along with her organizational skills
and her ever increasing level of education,
earned her a position of "Group
Teacher" in the Preschool class. In 2001,
as her family moved away from Hudson County,
Maria was forced to resign her position at
Prodigy. She could not stay away very long. She
chose to return before too long, at the cost of
having a commute of over two hours. Her success
in organizing the Toddler Program, earned her
the position of Center's Head Teacher and Pre-K
teacher.
Maria has since cut down on the
commuting time by acquiring
personal transportation (she got a driver's
license and a car). Welcome back miss
Maria!..... we missed you.
