One
of the nicest experiences Paige and I had was on the
Prodigy trip to the NY Aquarium, this past August. I
volunteered as a chaperone for the Pre-K One Class. It
was hot (one of those dog days of August). I remember
being concerned about the children in that suffocating
heat. Some were complaining about the temperature, but
all, including me, thought it was worth it, seeing the
reaction of the children as the dolphin show began. I
remember Paige’s face, how happy she looked, and how
excitedly she clapped, as the dolphins jumped high and
we all got splashed! The water was chilly but felt
great in the high heat, as Paige kept saying she
wanted to be splashed again. She was giggling and
clapping the whole time, along with the other
children, and I was so glad to be able to share that
experience with her. The perfect mother/daughter
experience! |
