DISCOVERY HOUSE

Discovery House is an indoor haven for children, designed to amaze and inspire the young to explore, fantasize  and experiment. The "House" is located in East Brunswick, N.J., about forty minutes from Prodigy, by bus.  On the morning of March 15th, we embarked, with a bus-full of Preschoolers, parents and teachers, on the trek to "THE HOUSE".  A while later, (two boxes of orios and crackers later), and  having heard the now famous "ARE WE THERE YET?" for about the 50th time, we arrived at our destination. The children were so excited and so impatient to begin their adventure, it was hard for the staff to keep them together for the few minutes it takes for orientation. At last they were able to disperse and begin their adventures. Within minutes everyone was either a Knight, a Sailor, a Builder, a Shopper, a Cook, a Driver and even a Scientist. As one can see from the images below, fun was had by all. The task of gathering the children toward the bus for the trip back to Prodigy was obviously not an enviable one. Special thanks to the parents who participated as chaperones, without whom these trips would not be possible.
