As we have for the past several years, we invited Dr. Gleaner,
who practices dentistry in Bayonne, to come visit the Preschoolers
at Prodigy, and help them observe "Dental Hygiene Month".
Part of the event included a presentation by Dr. Gleaner,
with the help from props (such as a dental apparatus, with
an oversized toothbrush), to show children the importance
of brushing teeth properly. The Doctor also discussed with
the children how a diet of healthy foods goes a long way
in keeping our teeth healthy. Dr. Gleaner sent home with
the children some literature, which included a pass for "free
dental screening" at his office for any child attending Prodigy
who has yet to see a dentist. We hope everyone will take
advantage of the opportunity to give their child's the proper
check up, if they have not yet done so.
