SAFETY
Every precaution is taken to keep the children
safe and well at school. If an emergency arises and parents cannot be contacted,
the Center's next step is to pursue one of the emergency numbers that you
have provided. Please keep us up-to-date on this
information. |
BIRTHDAY PARTIES There is no better place to celebrate a Birthday
than at school with all our friends!!! Parents are welcome to bring in a
cake, cupcakes or any other party goodies. HAVE FUN!!!

PARENTS'
INVOLVEMENT
The following are rights and duties
of parents whose children are enrolled at Prodigy Learning and Day Care
Center:

A Parent/Staff conference is needed
at the time of enrollment for the purpose of signing the application, informing
parents of the Center's operational policies, and discuss the child's
special needs (if any).

A
Parent/Staff conference held semi-annually and upon request of the parents
and/or staff members.

Annual
Open House to which all parents are invited for the purpose of observing
and discussing the program.

All
parents are welcomed to volunteer their time for the purpose of assisting,
especially during Field Trips, seasonal parties or Birthday
Parties.

INCLEMENT
WEATHER
Prodigy Learning & Day Care Center
will only be closed in the event of unusual weather conditions, such as a
paralyzing
snowstorm. The Center
does not follow the Bayonne School System's criteria for snow days, which
closes for almost any snow accumulation. In the event that a blizzard is
expected, a telephone number will be posted at Prodigy the previous day.
Parents can call in the morning for an up-to-date
message.
SCHOOL
CALENDAR
Prodigy is open 12 months a year. However
the Center will be closed for the following

Holidays:
2 days
for Christmas; 2
days for New Year;
2
days for Thanksgiving; 1
day for Good Friday;
1
day for Memorial Day;
1
day for Independence Day;
1
day for Labor Day. |
ARRIVAL/DISMISSAL
The Center is open from 7:00 a.m. till
6:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Our standard sessions are: Full Day
(8:45-3:15); Extended Day (8:00-5:30). Personalized
sessions for your particular needs are also available (discuss them with
the director at your first conference). There will be
no drop-off after
9:00 a.m., unless previously
arranged with the staff. However for your convenience, and for emergencies,
it will be possible to drop-off a child during snack time (between 9:30 and
10:00 a.m.).
Parents can come to the center at any time
to visit or pick up their children. However if they cannot pick up by their
regularly scheduled time, the staff should be made aware of the delay in
picking up.
Parents whose children
are picked up after closing hours (6:00 p.m.), will incur a fee of
$10.00
for the first half hour, and $10.00 for any subsequent half
hour.
